About the Practice
I founded Serenity Pathways Behavioral Health Services, LLC with a simple belief — real change begins when you feel truly seen, heard, and supported without judgment. My approach to therapy is collaborative, genuine, and centered around you as a whole person. There is no one-size-fits-all process here; your experiences, strengths, and goals help guide the work we do together.
I’m Ashley D. Harper, MSW, LISW-S, a graduate of The Ohio State University’s Master of Social Work program, class of 2021. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across all lifespans — from children as young as five to older adults — in community mental health, in-home services, group homes, correctional facilities, hospitals, crisis centers, long-term care, and hospice settings. These experiences have shaped how I show up as a therapist: with openness, respect, and a deep appreciation for every person’s unique story.
My path into this field was shaped by my own life experiences, personal challenges, and mental health journey. Those moments didn’t define me — they strengthened my passion to better understand myself and to walk alongside others as they rediscover their own strength and direction. While my lived experiences help me connect on a human level, my work remains grounded in evidence-based practice and meaningful clinical care.
I am currently on my professional journey toward becoming a certified sex therapist, specializing in trauma-informed care and supporting individuals navigating personality-related challenges and relational patterns. My work supports clients in exploring intimacy, identity, communication, and healing in a way that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.
